The IPMA’s DEI Champion Award recognizes members of our association, who actively promote and are leaders in diversity, equity, and inclusion within the association, on their teams and/or with their employers.
REQUIREMENT FOR THE AWARD:
The nominee must be an active member (in good standing) of the IPMA who has championed DEI initiatives both in their work, with their employer, and within the association over the past year.
QUALIFICATION FOR THE AWARD:
Any Regular, Associate, Academic, Individual Business Partner, or individual representative of a Corporate Business Partner IPMA member who has been in collaboration with IPMA's DEI Committee, as well as helped drive DEI initiatives either within IPMA or outside the organization may qualify for this award.
GENERAL CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD:
The general criteria required for determination of the Award recipient(s) shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
The nominee must have positively impacted the association, their team and/or their employer through their DEI efforts.
The individual must exhibit outstanding commitment to championing and leading DEI efforts and initiatives.
The Award is designed to acknowledge the dedication and motivation of an individual member by their own efforts within the association and with their employer.
The winning recipient(s) shall receive an IPMA DEI Champion Trophy. The recipient(s) will also be honored at the Annual Meeting Luncheon during the IPMA’s Annual Conference & Expo.
NOMINATIONS:
Any Regular, Associate, Academic, Individual Business Partner, or individual representative of a Corporate Business
Partner IPMA member can nominate a qualified nominee. The Committee will also consider self-nominations.
SELECTION PROCESS:
The Awards Committee, in coordination with the DEI Committee, will select the Award recipient(s) and announce the winner(s) at the Annual Conference. The Awards Committee may designate up to two (2) recipients for the Award each year. The Awards Committee may choose not to present this award at its discretion.
